Description

It is a good idea to continuously reinforce the use of geography when teaching history. This lesson asks students to learn the countries of modern Europe.

The second half of the world history course involves two of the most important events in world history: World War I and World War II. Much of the curriculum takes place on this continent, so it is imperative that students know the geography. If you tell your students that the Maginot Line in France faced east, which gave Nazi Germany the opportunity to invade with less resistance through Belgium, none of that will mean anything if the kids don’t know where France, Germany or Belgium are.

The lesson provides you with two numbered versions of the test and a blank study guide for your students.
