We are pleased to introduce to you the GEO-DISCOVER Performance Learning Resource. The ‘Performance’ involves three equally important areas of student endeavor:

Phase 1. Library Sciences (research)

Phase 2. Fine Arts (drawing, model making & painting)

Phase 3. Theater Arts (performance and production and teamwork) This resource is an individual and collective project for the class and the subject educators.

Depending on the time you have available to work with your students, and either the simplicity or the complexity of the performance, it could take two to four weeks or more preparation time to produce an audience-ready ‘Theater Performance’. A performance by your students, for fellow students, parents, and educators! These activities not only involve the student in the three areas of endeavor but also, in the process provide a major Geography lesson. The performance educates all the students participating and the audience, regardless of age. The performances could make a great addition to a Parent’s Day, Education Week, a community event, or maybe a fundraiser; not to mention being the main attraction at the official grand opening of your physical GEOTHEATER!
