Gemstones and the Rock Cycle

This actually came to be due to a student revolt against my Rock Cycles lesson.

Part of my 'Earth Breakers Institute' Series, students have some role-play involved in their task. They are to solve some mysteries surrounding their birthstones. There is a safe site link in the document that leads to a nice little trove of information that students may use for their paper.

Students are expected to answer some questions about the history of birthstones and how the stone is created through the Rock Cycle. The paper length may be changed due to student age and require depth of knowledge.
