Gay Straight Alliance (GSA) Name Card Program

This program is intended for schools or classrooms that want to create an inclusive environment for their students who identify differently than their birth names. Students fill out the card and give it to their teachers to refer to them as they wish. Teachers are made aware quickly and discreetly about their students' pronouns and names they wish to be called as well as how the teacher should refer to them with parents/guardians. Additionally, students can check if they feel comfortable discussing their identities with their teacher or if there is another staff member the teacher can be directed to.

An example e-mail is provided to explain the program to teachers.
