Gaeilge - An Síneadh Fada - Cut and Stick Activity - NLC

Help your class explore the sounds of Irish and the how the fada works.

The children cut out the words and sort into the correct column depending on whether the given vowel has a fada or not. Through reading the words in this activity the children will begin to see the difference in each vowel with and without a fada. All worksheets have simple Irish words which the children will most likely be familiar with. It may be a good idea to read through the words on the board/visualiser as an introduction.
