Description
This protocol should be used if a student currently possesses no way to request to be left alone, or to communicate his desire to escape a perceived aversive task or activity. This is causing him to engage in challenging and sometimes dangerous behavior upon the presentation of non-preferred tasks. In order to reduce the potential risk of harm and also bolster independence Student will be taught how to appropriately request escape from a perceived aversive task through modified sign, AAC device, or Vocalization.
