Description
To bring self-awareness, and improve friendship communication and problem solving, the Friendship Drama-O-Meter is a fun intervention for friendship groups, classroom discussions, and for practicing assertiveness and boundary setting in unhealthy friendships.
Five stages of friendship drama are noted on the Drama-O-Meter, Each stage includes friendship behaviors that progress from helpful to hurtful. For example, the meter begins with Healthy Friendship (i.e. being respectful, including each other…) and develops to the final stage of Broken Bones, (i.e. excluding, rumors…)
The goal of the activity is to identify the friendship drama stage from over 50 included friendship scenarios, and then match the appropriate self-care solution for that stage. For example, if a rumor scenario is selected, the user will read the "Broken Bones" solution and provide a personalized or suggested strategy to manage the rumor.
Each of the behavioral stages with worksheets may be reviewed in one sitting or over a five week time frame.

-6 Drama-O-Meter and solutions handouts. These are an alternative to the poster in 3 different colors.
-7 worksheets for practicing drama stage identification for problem solving.
-5 drama solution cards. Once matched, they may be clothes pinned to the poster. Blank cards are also included for personalizing solutions.
-60 friendship drama scenarios for discussion with the friendship drama-o-meter.
