This friendly letter activity helps students identify and express emotions of major characters from the WWI era. Students must consider both persona and audience to communicate understanding. This activity is easily paired with English war novels (All Quiet on the Western Front / Generals Die in Bed) or an historic analysis of the 1914-1918 time period.
