This French imparfait dialogue assignment is the perfect speaking assessment for your French unit! Use this resource to help your students write and perform original skits in your Core French or French Immersion class. All student pages are in French. The teacher directions page is in English.

The task:

Students write a skit, pretending they are at their 10 year class reunion. They reflect back on their school days using the imparfait and the passé composé to talk about what they were like, what they liked to do, what big events happened.

Students will write and memorize the skit and provide you with a written copy of the skit so you can follow along during their performance.

Resource includes:

3 skit directions pages so you can choose the best option:

• One page requires each student to say 10 lines and requires the group to use 10 new vocabulary words from your unit.
• One page allows you to type in the number of lines and vocabulary words using the editable form fields.
• One page has not lines/words requirements.

3 grading rubrics

• A rubric with a 1-4 grading scale for assessing pronunciation, structure, word choice, memorization, and sense WITH 10 LINES/10 WORDS
• A rubric with a 1-4 grading scale for assessing pronunciation, structure, word choice, memorization, and sense WITH NO LINES/WORDS MINIMUM
• A one column rubric assessing pronunciation, sense, language, and effort
