Description

Wish you had a fun and engaging way for your students to apply their French city vocabulary in a meaningful way? This project is a great way to practice en ville vocabulary words while igniting their creativity.

Ma ville, a French city project, asks students to design their dream city, draw (or use a computer) to make a map (labeled in French), and to write 2 paragraphs in French about their city. Students will choose a francophone country for their city and include the weather and fun activities for their city.

Use this French project to reinforce and assess:

  • French city vocabulary
  • how to discuss likes and dislikes
  • French weather expressions
  • the preposition à (à la, au, à l', aux)
  • geography of francophone countries
  • a variety of verbs

This French city resource includes:

  • student directions pages
  • common French city-themed vocabulary list
  • pre-writing pages
  • writing rubrics
  • map rubric

This project comes in English for beginners and also includes a full-French version for immersion or more advanced classes.
