Description
DESCRIPTION: Wth these beautiful Francophone country and capital city task cards your students will be able to:
- become familiar with 24 different French speaking cities in the world
- practice pronouncing Francophone country and city names
- practice asking and answering I'm going to... Who's going to the capital of...? using the verb aller in the present tense for the first and third person singular forms:
Je vais à ...
Qui va à la capitale de ?....
HOW TO PLAY: Distribute cards to students. If you have less than twenty four students you may distribute more than one card to a student. One student begins by stating: Je vais à Paris. Qui va à la capitale de la Suisse? The student with Berne on the card than responds and asks the next question printed on the card. etc. Game will end with the same student who began the game.
A teacher key has been included for you to help students identify the places of interest depicted on each card.
A blank set of three cards is included for you to add your own cities and countries.
As a follow up writing activity I have students use the internet to research Francophone cities and countries to write an informational paragraph on the post card I have for sale. (see my store)
