What educators are saying

My students are loving this resource! And I saw so much improvement in their french skills. I highly recommend buying this resource! This resource is a blessing to french immersion.
Had fun making this collaborative poster with our little buddies. It was a great activity to accompany our reading! Merci!

Description

Jour du souvenir | Remembrance Day activity in French: this collaborative poster is a community-building activity to celebrate "le jour du Souvenir". Each student colors a square which is part of a poster. Next, they assemble the poster by putting the colored squares together. They'll be surprised by the "mystery" image that'll be formed.

You might wrap up the activity with a discussion on how collaboration leads to peace and how to maintain peace.

There are 30 squares to color. It's one square per page. If printed on letter-sized paper, the poster should be about 45 in (w) x 37.5 in (h), approximately 114cm x 95cm

[one square per page–you'll need to print 30 sheets for the activity]

I suggest printing 2 or 4 pages per sheet to get smaller-sized posters if your classroom lacks space.

❤️ Your students will love finding out how the individual squares end up creating a whole poster with a beautiful Remembrance Day image.

❤️ You'll love how this activity is easy to prep, engages students, and impresses everyone.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Kara E. says, "This was such a lovely collaborative activity to commemorate Remembrance Day as a class. We hung our completed poster as a backdrop for our school's Remembrance Day assembly."

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Catherine W. says, "This supplemented more personalised learning about Remembrance Day by learning about family members' experiences during wartime. It was a calm and simple task for students to complete while reflecting on their learning, and it resulted in a lovely display piece."
