What educators are saying
Description
La nouvelle année: French New Year's mini-books and writing prompts for the beginning of 2024. A set of activities to get your students thinking about "le nouvel an" and reflecting about the previous year.
IMPORTANT: this is mainly a printable resource, but 3 worksheets with writing prompts can be used with TpT's Easel digital tool and assigned through Google Classroom (via TpT).
The minibook and the flipbook ARE NOT digital.
If you have questions, ask BEFORE purchasing.
What are your students' plans, hopes, and goals for the new year?
Have them write all about what they want to accomplish in 2024!
This resource includes:
→ 1 double-sided one-sheet mini-book for students to reflect about the previous year and set resolutions for the new year
→ 1 flip-book for students to write down their wishes and hope for the new year. If students are beginners, they can just write words and make drawings. If they're older or have intermediate proficiency level in French, they are expected to write longer, more complex sentences.
→ 3 writing prompts. They'll get to write about:
♦ their favorite Christmas gift
♦ the best things they did in 2023
♦ their resolutions for 2024
I’ve also included extra pages so you’ll be able to use this resource in 2025 and 2026. I’ll keep updating the file for future use.
Here's what teachers have said about this resource:
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "Great booklet for the new year! Thank you for including future years as well!"
– Mme Carter
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "I was very happy with this resource! I used it online with my grade 3-4 French Immersion class. I provided students with sentence starters and vocabularly lists to help them with their writing. I love that Easel allows me to return their work and they can edit and resubmit!"
– Lorraine B.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "This was a nice writing and speaking activity for my Gr. 7 and 8 core French classes!"
– Christine H.
