This virtual field trip is both informative and engaging, allowing your students to dive deeper into the civil rights movement. This digital French black history resource is great to use in February or at any time throughout the year!
This resource is perfect for distance learning but is also very useful for in-person learning, where all the information and slides are in one place, making this a NO PREP, click & go presentation! It is a great starting point to discuss themes of segregation and racism.
WHO IS THIS RESOURCE FOR?
While I tried my best to simplify vocabulary where I could, due to the heavier nature of this topic, I'd suggest using this resource with students in Grade 2 French Immersion (or Core French) and up. Of course, if you think your class can handle the topic, then use it at your discretion. There can be a lot of text on some slides, which may require the teacher to help read.
