The vocabulary lists are organized by chapter. For each word I have noted which page is appears on, it's part of speech, and definition. I have also listed a few ways that you can incorporate vocabulary word study into the unit. The vocabulary section also includes a vocabulary matching activity for each chapter. Students can use this while they read to practice using context clues, as a homework assignment, or as a vocabulary review activity.

Each nonfiction reading skills spotlight worksheet highlights a different nonfiction reading technique. This unit spotlights eight different nonfiction reading skills, one for each chapter.
