Description
Introduce your students to logic puzzles! While these critical thinking activities can be fun, they are intimidating to students who don't know how to do them. This presentation shows step-by-step how to solve a grid logic puzzle. Each clue is examined, and the presentation shows exactly what to fill out and explains the thought process behind marking X's on O's on the grid. As a teacher, this is easy to use, and if you get distracted in the middle of it- no big deal- the thought process is still there! No losing track of where you were. I hope this is something helpful to other middle school teachers who love problem solving as much as I do!
It is also straight-forward enough that students can go through the presentation on their own, and then be ready to work logic puzzles independently. A great idea for either students who finish work quickly, or students who need extra help with critical thinking.
