Description

This pollution simulation is a great way for students to visually see the effects that humans have on natural environments. The teacher reads aloud the provided story which takes a fish on a journey that begins in its clean habitat and ends in a polluted stream. Students follow along with a recording sheet. Students feel compassionate towards the fish and can quickly see they need to be mindful of the effects of pollution.

What's Included:
-“What Do You Think?”
This sheet can be used with any photo or magazine picture that you want to use to get your students thinking about observations. I personally use this sheet with a photo of a polar bear surrounded by trash.
-“Freddy The Fish” Instruction Sheet
-Photos of items needed for pollution simulation
-“Freddy The Fish” Recording Sheet
-Student Sample of Recording Sheet
-“I Can Help the Environment”
This sheet is designed to be a follow-up writing for students to write and illustrate how they can make sure to protect the environment from things observed in the “Freddy the Fish” activity.
