Francophone Countries Unit BUNDLE - Francophonie lessons, activities, project

The French language is more than French grammar and French vocabulary. Culture, history, geography, and the people make the language unique. Have your students explore Francophone countries with this unit bundle. In this unit, your Core French and/or French Immersion students will learn about the history of the French-speaking world. They will deep dive into France's current empire and discover different corners of la Francophonie. Students will engage in reading, writing, listening, and speaking activities in order to broaden their understanding of les pays francophones.

This resource is ideal for intermediate French students. The unit bundle consists of two sections :

Francophonie unit

Introduce your Core French and/or French Immersion students to the diversity and complexities of the French-speaking world with this engaging resource. This French unit is a starting point where your students will learn about basic information about la francophonie and will begin to analyze the sometimes complex relationship that former French colonies may have with the French language. This is a no-prep resource that will help you, the teacher, feel confident teaching an introductory unit on francophone countries and regions throughout the world.
