What educators are saying

The kids love these questions! I often use it for morning meeting on days when the kids just aren't ready to learn.
My students really enjoy 4 corners as a game overall so they were super excited for this brain break. I liked the questions that were asked and even participated in it with my kids as an option for morning circle.

    Social Distancing Ideas:

Due to your school's social distancing guidelines, it may be not be ideal to have students move to four corners of the classroom together. Here are two ideas how to use this resource while keeping students at their desks:

✱ Students can write their number answers on personal whiteboards. To add a little movement, they could do jumping jacks, for example, while waiting for the teacher to say "show your boards."

✱ The class could decide on 4 different exercises, with one assigned to each number. Students can do the exercises to represent their answer. Example: 1- squats, 2- run in place, 3- hop on one foot, 4- sit ups.

Virtual Learning Options for Video Meetings:

✱The 2nd idea from above could work for a virtual learning by assigning an exercise to the corresponding corner numbers.

✱ Students could write their number answers to each question in the chat.

✱ The teacher could ask each student individually what their answer is. This might be best if you only did 1-2 slides at a time because it could be time consuming to do all 15 slides at once.
