Use this template as a way for students to learn how to represent proper, improper and mixed number fractions in different ways!
Attached you will find an editable PowerPoint that includes the following pages:
Page 1 - Example
Page 2 - Blank template
Page 3 - Numerical fraction
Page 4 - Fraction represented aș a diagram
Page 5 - Fraction used in a story
Page 6 - Fraction represented on a number line
This resource can be used in a variety of different ways!
- Print out copies of the blank template and laminate them so it can be used in Math group rotations
- Choose how you would like to use the template, e.g. Show the answer to one corner or three
- Pair students up and have them choose a fraction to represent
- Project the template on a screen and get students to write the answers on a mini whiteboard
- Edit the template based on your student's needs
