Description

The ‘Systems of Strategic Actions’ comes from the Fountas & Pinnell Reading model. The posters and worksheets have been created using this model.

These posters can be used to display in your classroom to refer to when teaching to expose students to the language and the skills to achieve all strategic actions. **Both British and American English spelling**

Once you have used your data to develop personal reading goals for each of your students, have your students write out their goal and develop success criteria to achieve the goal. This gives students a clear direction for which they can work towards. Have your students track their reading letter level from the beginning to the end of the year. This empowers students to be accountable for the learning, set high expectations and celebrate growth.

Group the children into reading groups based on their reading goals. You can put their names on display with the posters for students to see and track which strategy they are working on.

Continue to monitor each of your student’s reading, text selection and progress towards achieving their goal during one-to-one reading conferences using the script provided. This gives you an opportunity show interest in your student’s reading and provide on-the-spot feedback to guide them on their personal learning journey.
