What educators are saying

My students loved the theme of this activity. Also, having Texas Teaching Fanatic activities that correlate to TEKS is very helpful!
I used these to reinforce revising and editing skills leading up to our state test. Great resource I will use again.

Description

These revising task cards focus on inserting sentences into an expository piece of writing about Fortnite. The focus is on TEKS 4.18A, 4.18B, and 4.18C. Your students will be required to insert a sentence that creates a clear central idea, supporting sentences, and concluding sentences in both the paragraph and at the end of the essay.

Included:

  • One expository essay about Fortnite
  • 8 revising questions that cover inserting sentences
  • Answer Key

I chose to use the exact font and verbiage that is used on the 4th Grade Writing STAAR Test, so this should help students get used to the way it will look.

These cards can be used for practice, tutorials, or test prep, whole class or small group.

**NOTE: There are two cards per whole page to allow for different size options. You can adjust how many per page in your printer settings if you want them smaller. For groups of kiddos, I prefer to have them larger so that everyone can see. For individual students, I prefer to print 4 to a page.
