What educators are saying

I use this every semester in my Forensic Science classes. Students enjoy making their ten card and determining the main pattern on each of their fingerprints and looking at other students fingerprints as well.

Description

This is an activity for my Forensic Science students in the Fingerprint Evidence unit. Students learn about:

  • Creating a detailed image of their fingerprint ridge patterns
  • How fingerprints differ among individuals

I use this Ten Card as an Engage activity at the start of the Fingerprinting unit.  It gets them thinking and looking at ridge patterns. Then I dive into the material using the prezi here: Fingerprint Evidence Prezi

This product contains:

  • My version of a Fingerprint Ten Card in 3 versions:
    • Google slide (that you can edit!)
    • JPG image
    • PDF (just print and go!)
  • Fingerprint Evidence Prezi
  • Lesson Plan

This is part of my Fingerprint Evidence Unit.  The unit plan, lesson plan, and many of the resources are available for free on my blog (www.STEMTeacherInspiration.com) and on TPT.

Other Fingerprint Evidence Products available:

Forensics: Fingerprinting Lecture Presentation and Student Note Guide

Forensics: Fingerprinting Note Guide with FREE Prezi

Forensics: Fingerprint Pattern Analysis
