What educators are saying

My students who were working ahead on force and motion used this packet to work independantly while we worked with those students who were not on standard yet. It kept them engaged and they were not bored!

Description

This printable pack has ten separate printable pages and worksheets that will be a great supplement to your classroom unit covering forces and the motion that cause them. This includes topics like objects in motion and fixed reference points,
calculating speed, acceleration, mass and its relationship to force and speed, Isaac Newton's three laws of motion, balanced and unbalanced forces and even calculating net forces. Whether your students need a good review of these concepts, or you need a few more grading opportunities, your classroom will certainly benefit from the pages included in this printable packet. This can also be used as a cross curricular reading comprehension resource or even plugged into substitute teacher plans with no prep on your part!

Here is a short description of the printables included in this pack:

- Objects in motion - critical thinking worksheet: Students will see images showing objects in different positions to represent objects in motion. They will use these sequences to describe the motion and the reference points in each image and answer each question accordingly.

- Motion relative to fixed reference points think and respond worksheet: Students will use the sequence of images and the text below it to respond to questions about objects in motion and fixed reference points.

- Calculating Speed – math connections problem page or center activity: With the examples given, students will use division to determine the exact speed of each object or animal.

- Force, mass and speed – reading comprehension and response worksheet: There is a relationship between the speed of moving objects and the energy of moving objects. Students will read the article and answer text evidence questions based on the information in the article.

- Speed and Acceleration – read, think and respond student page: Acceleration and speed are words that we often hear. However, we don’t often discuss what the difference is between the two terms. Students will learn exactly what the difference between these two terms are and explain the difference in their own words.

- The three laws of motion reading comprehension and question page: Students will read a full page article about Isaac Newton and his three laws of motion, and then answer eight questions using information from the article.

- Balanced and unbalanced forces: read, think and respond worksheet: Students will learn more about balanced and unbalanced forces and see an example on how to solve for the net force with both a balanced and unbalanced force.

- Balanced or unbalanced word problem page or center work: Students will see real life scenarios of forces interacting with each other. They will use their knowledge about balanced and unbalanced forces to answer each question.

- Solve for the net force math connections worksheet or center activity (Form A and form B): Students will see images showing forces that are unbalanced. They will sove each question to show the total amount of force as well as the direction of that net force

Please take note that if you have purchased Force and Motion Comprehensive Three Lesson Unit, do not buy this printable packet, you already have all of these printables!

You and your students will benefit from this product, and truly understand these concepts on a much deeper level due to the resources included in this printable pack, I guarantee it!
