Description

Food Groups is the perfect product to help your kiddos understand how to differentiate between the 5 main food groups: grain/vegetables/protein/fruits/dairy. Its full of activities to help your students practice and reinforce their knowledge. It's a lifelong skill that every learner should know and this product will help them achieve a solid foundation!

Pg. 3 - 7: Color and Black and white labels for sorting picture cards

Pg. 8 - 27: 8 picture cards for each: dairy, vegetables, grain, fruit, protein. Each picture card is labeled and comes in color and black and white

Pg. 29 - 35: 5 individual coloring pages where students have to locate and color an individual good group. 2 coloring pages where students have a mixed review and color each food group by following a key
**Great for Homework**

Pg. 37 - 41: KWL charts for each food group to fill out to show what they Know/ Want to Know/Learned

Pg. 43 - 48: Sorting Mats: Great for Group Projects! Each group can get a mat and they have to find picture (from magazines) of food in their group. There is also one mat with each food group to be used for an individual activity
**Great Group Work**

Pg. 50 - 56: Cut and Paste: For each food group students find foods that are in that group or not (EX: Fruits/ Not Fruits) There are 2 mixed review pages where students sort pictures into each group

Pg. 58 - 69: Emergent Reader 1/2 page books: Students and write the food group onto each line and color the pictures!

Pg. 70: Food Group Flip Book

Pg. 72 - 76: Class Book: Cover (color and Black and white options) and 3 differentiated pages for students to record what they know to be added into the class book

Pg. 78 - 87: Write the Room: 16 pictures cards are placed around the room, using their recording sheets students record their answer. There are two different recording sheets for differentiated instruction.

Pg. 89 - 96: Labeling Pages: 8 Differentiated Pages. 4 Pages where students write in the food group to describe the picture and (the same 4) where students circle the food group to describe the picture.
