What educators are saying

Although it is made for students younger than 3rd grade, I liked the language used and the activities provided. It still worked well for my 3rd graders who are struggling with listening and following directions, rather than only "hearing".
Used this for the first time today. While I expected it to be useful with my clients, it was even better than I anticipated! It provided many opportunities for talking points beyond just what was written on the paper.

Description

Teaching student’s basic life skills with social and emotional learning is so important. In this unit, students will work following directions. It is part of the responsible decision making SEL standard. This unique curriculum will take your students on an adventure to different towns where they will learn about social and emotional skills. This unit discusses how to follow directions by providing concrete ideas they can use in the classroom. It discusses listening, following through quickly, consequences, eliminating distractions and asking questions for clarification. It comes with a story about the town Following Directions, scenarios or problems to solve, activities, a passport, stamps for the passport, a parent connect letter, and more. These primary lesson plans were created so there is little prep for the teacher. Simply project the Googles Slides and make your way through the lesson. The only prep you will have, is copying the extension activities if you choose to use them. In fact, these would be perfect for a short morning meeting each day! YouTube audio versions of the books are included as well as links to short videos and songs.
