What educators are saying

This is the best resource I have found for comparing themes, characters, etc. An added bonus is that it also covers the standard dealing with folk tales. The kids absolutely loved the Anansi stories, and the activities in this resource.
This resource provided additional practice and support for my class. It aligned perfectly with my lesson. My students were actively engaged and excited to complete this activity. Thank you.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Nicole J. wrote: "This resource is absolutely amazing. We have an Anansi story in our Wonders book and my students wanted more stories and activities to go with folktales. I feel this resource really helped them to understand what a folktale is and other standards."

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Dawn A. wrote: "My kids LOVED these stories so much that they wanted to read more Anansi stories. And the trickster tales they wrote were some of the best writing they've done all year. This is a great resource for compare/contrast literary text."

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Vegas Disney Teacher wrote: "AMAZING bundle. My students loved completing the activities after reading the Anansi books. So easy for me as a teacher to print/prepare and it perfectly targets the standard. Thanks!"

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Julia T. wrote: "Thorough resource for trickster tales/folktales with a bonus to implement with readers/writers workshop model."

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Valerie D. wrote: "I so enjoy teaching the Anansi books. The students enjoy his trickster ways! This is a wonderful resource to cover a great amount standards and really get the students thinking."

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Thriving in Third wrote: "I am so excited to use this next week in class! So, I'm going to tell you why I think this is a great resource. 1. The activities/lessons include higher order thinking skills and questions. 2. Both stories have the same lessons so that you can also hit on compare/contrast at the end of your week/unit. There is even a graphic organizer included so that you can do this :-) 3. I like the language used in the questions. I'm preparing my students for a standardized test where they will be asked to "analyze" "infer" and "draw conclusions." 4. I also like that the packet includes graphic organizers to help students understand the story and break it apart, but that their is also short response activities where students will have to cite evidence to support their answers. This is well worth the $. Can't wait to start using it!"
