Fun STEM Activity! This Floor Plan Project is great for showing students that geometry is used in real life situations. There is a budget that limits the type and quantity of flooring that is chosen.
The project can also be used to help students solidify their understanding of ratios and proportions. Depending on the guidelines you give, students can practice finding the area of rectangles, triangles and even the area of circles. Includes graph paper, budgeting sheet, grading scale, and thorough instructions.
