Our brains are amazing and help us in many ways, such as sorting through the enormous amount of information we receive and feel daily. Our senses, feelings, and behavior are all experienced first through our brains. However, sometimes our brains have trouble doing their job correctly, for example, when we experience big emotions such as anger or anxiety. When we experience these emotions with larger intensity and feel a loss of control of our behavior, this is called “flipping our lid.”
