Flat Stanley...Coming to a town near you!

Flat Stanley is coming to a town near you! With this unit you are set up with all the tools for a mailing project, kite project, reading responses, writing craftivities, a math center and a literacy center!
Here's what you will get:

3-4 Parent letter and letter for loved one. These are used for our mailing project. As our fun packages make their way back in the mail we begin to share what fun items we receive from the state and also color in their location on a map {p 15}. This is a great project for discussing how mail works and to teach kiddos some more about maps!
Flat Stanley template. You will need to print several of these per child depending on how many family/friends they are going to mail to.
6-10 Vocabulary cards. I use these as we read. I then place them in my writing station and the kiddos can use them in their writing. You can also have them record each new word into their vocabulary notebooks.
11-12 Map Fact bubble maps.
13-14 Travel Guide tracking book covers {bw & color}
15 Map it out – a blank map of the USA. Color in each state as you learn about it. Place in Travel Guide book and/or use as class map.
16 State Facts – a recording sheet to record important information about each state Stanley visits. Can be placed in your Travel Guide book or to use individually.
