Description

Five Little Ducks Number Rhyme & Stick Puppets.

This pack includes a song poster, numbered cut out magnet/ felt board song pieces and stick puppet templates for the Number Rhyme Five Little Ducks. Both a colour and black and white version of each resource has been included.

The contents of this Number Rhyme pack are;

Five Little Ducks Song Posters (2 in colour and 1 Black and White).

Five Little Ducks numbered song pieces for use on a magnet or felt board (2 sets in colour and 1 in black and White).

Five Little Ducks stick puppet character templates (2 sets in colour and 1 in Black and White).

This fun and engaging activity supports the development of the following numeracy skills;

Recognising numerals from 1 to 5.

Counting using one to one correspondence.

Representing numerals with the corresponding number of objects.

Song Poster

To construct the song poster print out onto white paper or card stock and laminated for durability. Select printing option “fit to page”.

Song Pieces

To construct the song pieces print out the colour images onto white cardstock. Cut out around the outline of each piece and laminate for durability. To create magnetic song pieces for use on a magnet board attach a piece of adhesive magnetic tape to the back of the laminated song piece. To create song pieces for use on a felt board attach an adhesive velcro hook dot to the back of the laminated song piece. Once the song pieces have been constructed they can be used to retell the number rhyme Five Little Ducks on a magnetic or felt board at group time.

Stick Puppets

To construct the stick puppets in color, print out the color puppet templates onto white cardstock. Cut out each puppet template around the dotted outline and laminate for durability. Stick the puppet template to a popsicle or paddle pop stick using tape or glue. Another suggested use for this resource is for students to color in the black and white puppet template, cut out along the dotted outline and stick to a popsicle/ paddle pop stick using glue or sticky tape.

Once the puppets have been constructed, students can use the stick puppets to retell the number rhyme Five Little Ducks.
