Why teach First Aid?
First Aid is included in several curriculum areas, and is an important work and life skill. Introducing first aid to younger students in school and community settings helps them prepare for being active, positive community members in the future. First Aid skills and knowledge can help young people find and keep work in the future, and it looks great on a resume! A first aid quiz helps keep learners engaged, and shows them how to reflect on their own knowledge as they progress.
How to use the resource
Learning First Aid takes time and practice - lots of it. This First Aid Quiz provides students with simple questions that require a true or false answer. Students can quickly test their First Aid knowledge to see how they are progressing. Teachers can use the quiz to check for understanding after teaching First Aid content about CPR, dangers, First Aid Kits, insect or snake bite, burns and water safety. An answer key is included. The quiz can also be used as a bell ringer activity, or as a pre-test to establish what students know already.
