Celebrate St. Patrick's Day in a tuneful, beatful and artful way. Save yourself lots planning time with this complete and detailed First Steps lesson plan and Google Slides presentation! The plan follows John Feierabend's music workout from the curriculum including pitch exploration, song fragments (echo songs), simple songs, arioso, movement exploration, movement for form and expression, beat motions and song tales.
Irish Music
Explore carefully curated, authentic music from Ireland with your students including some originally created content.
A New Move-It!
Gain access to an original movement activity with a piece of Irish music that can be done with or without scarves.
Age Level
This plan may be used with students as young as 4K or 3K, but may also be used with kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade.
Google Slides
The slides feature a brief description of the activity and a link to a YouTube video of the song if applicable. They are colorful and engaging, and can help with tracking where you are in the lesson. All of the slides are editable and rearrangeable to fit your needs.
They also make great sub plans on their own!
