About Owl in the Classroom Slides:
I designed these slides to support teaching Wonders whole group. I wanted to organize the content in a way that supports the fast-paced, daily routines. I did not have time to fumble with different browser tabs, word cards, materials, etc. Instead, I decided to organize everything in Google Slides and added my own little twist to keep my students engaged and maximize learning! These align very closely to the 2017 - Wonders teacher manual, yet cover many of the same essential skills taught in previous and newer versions. You must have your own license/access to the Wonders Curriculum to add any of the actual teaching content or student pages. I have included placeholder images for weekly stories and teaching pages to help you stay organized in the same manner as I do in my classroom.
I have included clipart to support phonemic awareness activities primarily for my ELL students, but also beneficial for all young learners. These slides are meant to be interactive- have students respond to activities with thumbs up/down, movement, song, dance, collaborative conversations, etc. They can be edited to fit your teaching style! You can add, delete, or move slides as needed.
