Each of the passages in this beginning reading SET 1:
- focuses on CVC words
- has names that are CVC words
- no prep--print and go
- contains an abundance of sight words
- has cute, engaging picture clues
- each page focuses on a word family

- provides easy questions for beginning readers

Four reading comprehension questions follow each reading passage. There are three multiple choice questions. One question on each page requires a simple, one-word, written response.
