Description

This unit is designed with the Grade 1 Manitoba Health Education curriculum in mind, but the lessons and activities are suitable to be used with any health curriculum.

This unit contains a lesson idea and interactive journal page for most of the knowledge outcomes in the curriculum, focusing on health and safety.

These are the lessons/outcomes covered in this unit:

*There are two lessons (conflict resolution and decision making) in this unit that are identical to lessons in the First Grade Interactive Social Studies Journal unit. You can hit two sets of out comes with one lesson! There is also an extreme weather lesson in this unit that is similar to a lesson in the First Grade Interactive Science Journal: Weather and Seasons unit.

*Updated Nov. 1/15* This unit comes bundled with two files now--the original PDF version and an editable PowerPoint version. If you teach Health in another language (German or French perhaps?) you can edit the text boxes on the student pages to meet your needs. The teacher information pages are not editable, but all the student pages are! You do need to have PowerPoint in order to edit the file.
