What educators are saying

The curriculum I was using only had two lessons of partitioning. There was no way my students could master the skill in two lessons. This bundle of worksheets was perfect to help continue developing the skills. It had so many choices and was very first-grade friendly!
Lots of variety to practice fractions to support my math program which lacks basically any practice with new skills. Students can complete most activities on their own.

Students build skills such as partitioning shapes, equal shares, reading fractions, using fraction words, and grouping objects into halves, thirds, or fourths. Understanding fractions in first grade is so important for the little ones as it is the foundation for future fraction knowledge.

Partition circles and rectangles into two and four equal shares, describe the shares using the words halves, fourths, and quarters, and use the phrases half of, fourth of, and quarter of. Describe the whole as two of, or four of the shares. Understand for these examples that decomposing into more equal shares creates smaller shares.
