Resource 1: First Aid Box Vocabulary Flashcards

• This product contains 24 flashcards with vocabulary (British English) based on items typically found in a first aid box.
• The first 12 flashcards include images of the following pieces of vocabulary with the word written beneath: gloves, (surgical) mask, plaster, bandage, scissors, safety pin, thermometer, eye drops, medication box, tablets, antiseptic wipes, hand sanitiser.
• The remaining flashcards contain unlabelled pictures (as above) to encourage students to free recall the vocabulary.
• Each flashcard can be printed on A4 paper.
• No preparation needed. Tip: if printing, you may wish to laminate the sheets so that they are easily wipeable and can be reused with students.
• Can also be printed and used for wall displays.

Resource 2: First Aid Box Vocabulary Worksheets

• This product contains 2 worksheets based on first aid box vocabulary (British English).
• Worksheet 1: The worksheet contains 12 images of items typically found in a first aid box (bandage, antiseptic wipes, eye drops, plaster, hand sanitiser, medication box, safety pin, (surgical) mask, scissors, gloves, tablets, thermometer). Students are to label the images using the vocabulary listed.
• Worksheet 2: Students are to read the short passage and fill in the gaps choosing the correct vocabulary listed.
• No preparation needed. Print and handout to students.
• Answers included.

Resource 3: First Aid Box Word Search

• Fun way to practise learning new vocabulary/ spelling (all vocabulary is related to items you find in a first aid box).
• Search for the following vocabulary: thermometer, scissors, eye drops, tablets, plaster, bandage, hand sanitiser, antiseptic wipes, safety pin, gloves, surgical mask, medication box.
  Answers included on the following page.
• For ESL learners, students can add the meaning/ translation to each word in the grid provided to enhance their learning.

Resource 4: Prepositions of Place- First Aid Box Worksheet

• The worksheet contains a large image of a first aid box with several items typically found in a first aid box. The use of everyday items provides a sense of real life context helping to support students with their learning.
• Students are instructed to study the picture and complete the sentences at the bottom of the sheet choosing the correct preposition of place from the options provided.
• The worksheet includes the following prepositions of place: on top of, above, below, in front of, behind, inside, between, next to.
• Fun way to practice learning prepositions of place.
• No preparation needed. Teachers can print the worksheet and provide to their students or send via email.
• Ideal resource for independent study/ homework.
