Finding X and Y Intercepts and Graphing Note and Activity Bundle Google Drive™

This bundle provides digital note pages on finding x and y-intercepts, note pages on graphing using intercepts, and activity pages on finding intercepts and graphing using intercepts.

Notes:

Included in the first set of digital pages are 4 pages on finding x and y-intercepts. The first page reminds students of basic coordinate plane vocabulary. They will drag and drop various vocabulary words to the appropriate places (example: they will drag an x-axis label to the x-axis). It then introduces them to what an x-intercept and a y-intercept is. They will also identify the x and y-intercept of a line drawn on a given coordinate plane. The second page has students find the x-intercept of a line. They double check their work by graphing the line. The third page has students do the same thing – except with the y-intercept. The final page has students find the x and y-intercepts of given lines. Colored and black and white versions of each page is included (to allow for students who may need the differentiation).

The 2nd set of note pages includes 4 pages on graphing using x and y intercepts to add to your digital Algebra curriculum. The first two pages walk students through the steps they must follow to graph a line using intercepts. The 2nd 2 pages have 2 problems each for students to show understanding. An alternate version of the first 2 pages is included to allow students to write out the steps themselves if you would prefer that way! Colored and black and white versions of each page is included (to allow for students who may need the differentiation).

Activity Pages:

Included in this set of activity pages are 4 pages on finding x and y intercepts and on graphing lines using their x and y-intercepts. The first 2 pages have students move x and/or y-intercept pieces to the equation they belong to. The last 2 pages have students find the x and y-intercepts of a given line. They then use those intercepts to graph the line. A colored and black and white version of each page is included

(to allow for students who may need the differentiation).

To use these pages:

Review information with students. There is no “correct” order. These pages are meant to be practice for students. One of the sets of pages is black and white, one copy has color. Choose which page(s) you want students to have. Make a copy of the document. As the pages are different, you could assign a pair of students to complete the pages. Have one student complete one of each type of page, then have them swap and check each others work. Delete any unnecessary pages (like the answer key, and the direction page) before making a copy and sending to students!
