Description

This lesson on how to find credible sources on the internet, is an introductory lesson in research. Many students will have experience using Google, but may not have thought about how to choose the best links that come up in their search results.

The lesson and supporting materials aim to teach students why not all internet search results are equal, and to provide them with a systematic way of finding the most credible results.

What's included:

- Lesson

- Teacher’s guide

- Vocabulary cards to share before & during the lesson

- Student edition that can be printed which includes:

- Mini word wall with the lesson’s vocabulary

- Graphic organizers for taking notes/ thinking maps

- Print outs of the unreliable websites from the lesson

- Exit ticket

Critical thinking is so important for all of our students. This resource will hopefully help make their basic research work a little easier! It also works well for my other products called Homework Conversations. Please check them out too :)
