Description

Task cards make it easy to differentiate instruction, engage students and assess important skills. Ranging from easy, moderate and challenging, use the task cards during a guided small group, as a center or as a whole group activity.

Specific Expectations

This activity targeted for intermediate and high school students, will challenge them to find the unknown missing angles. When solving, students will use their knowledge of:

  • Parallel, Perpendicular & Intersecting Lines
  • Supplementary and Complementary angles
  • Interior angles of triangles and quadrilaterals
  • Opposite, Corresponding, and Alternating Angle Relationships
  • Interior & Exterior Angle Relationships

Preparation

1. Print and cut task cards.

2. Laminate for future use.

3. Provide makers or dry erase markers if laminated.

4. Differentiate instruction - distribute task cards accordingly.

This resource includes an interactive version of the PDF that students can complete from any device on TpT’s new tool.

Activity

Allow students the choice to work independently or in pairs. Encourage

students to draw and trace directly on the card to visualize the angle

relationship when solving out.

Task Cards Range from easy, moderate and challenging. Differentiate

instruction by distributing task cards accordingly. Allow students the

opportunity to challenge themselves by choosing with task card to

attempt. Allow your class to work at their own pace.
