Description

Are you an administrator looking for a Film Studies curriculum for your entire school? Well, you've found a solution here with CurricuLimb™. This school site license allows your school, and any teacher at your school, to use this Film as Literature full year curriculum forever.

Film as Literature, Full Year Curriculum, by CurricuLimb™ is a comprehensive, standards-aligned instructional resource designed with teacher planning and student engagement at the center of the materials within.  While it’s no secret that you, the educator, are the key to the success of your students, we hope that this product provides you the tools you need to engage participants in enriching and rigorous content that ignites both discussion and reflection.  Each and every activity and assessment included has been designed with two primary teaching and learning objectives:

  1. Using film as a medium to explore and deepen student understanding of the universal themes that connect us to one another and the world in which we live.
  2. Intentionally and authentically bridging film analysis with the Common Core Standards for English Language Arts, balancing reading, writing, speaking and listening, and language standards throughout each film study, and unit as a whole.

Indeed, this instructional resource is about so much more than just about “watching movies”.  At CurricuLimb™, we see the study of film as an active pursuit.  Through a natural spiraling of new learning and prior knowledge, students are immersed in a constant state of synthesis, comparison, analysis, evaluation, and reflection.  Add to that the study of cinematic elements, and the lens for viewing a film evolves even further.  The possibilities for learning are endless.
