This Interactive Figurative Language PowerPoint Game Show is the perfect way to practice, review, and assess similes and metaphors with 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders and advanced 2nd graders. Featuring adorable sound effects, a self-scoring scoreboard, and 25 questions plus an optional challenge question, this game show is great to use for practice, test prep, and review. This figurative language game reviews 25 similes and metaphors. Categories of questions are Simile or Metaphor, Identify the Simile or Metaphor, What is the Meaning?, Complete the Simile, and Turn the Simile into a Metaphor. I like to play this game with students in groups and have kiddos use whiteboards to show their answers, but it also works well for a center in your classroom with only 2-4 students.

This Jeopardy style game show plays on PowerPoint versions 2007 or later AND Macintosh PowerPoint 2013 and later! This game uses Macros. You will have to enable Macros on your PowerPoint program in order for the automatic scoring to work. I have included instructions on how to enable Macros and how to play the game in a PDF file included in the download.
