Description
This resource can be printed, used digitally, or a combination of the two. The resource includes a print ready PDF as well as Google Drive versions (Google Slides) of all of the materials.
This menu focuses on figurative language including simile, metaphor, personification, idiom, hyperbole, and understatement. The activities cover all six levels of Bloom's Taxonomy: Knowledge, Understanding, Application, Analysis, Evaluation, and Creation.
This is a great activity to use after introducing these terms or to help students review for a quiz or test. Students are able to complete the activities independently and really show you what they know, so this menu could also be used as an alternative assessment.
You must decide upon the number of questions/activities you would like students to complete and insert that number for each category. This allows for differentiation for students who have IEPs or 504 plans, or students who are advanced or gifted. Students will then have a choice of the questions/activities they will complete in each section.
Includes:
*Print ready figurative language menu
*Digital version of figurative language menu (Google Slides)
