What educators are saying

My students referred back to this flipbook throughout the year! I found it was a great source (& refresher) for parents, too, when helping their students study the different types of figurative language.
Loved for helping my students understand the different types of figurative language. This is a tricky concept, so to be able to work on it in a nice presented manner, it was wonderful. Thank you!

Description

Do your students struggle while learning the different types of figurative language? This flipbook is the perfect tool for students to use to master the seven types of figurative language: onomatopoeia, alliteration, personification, hyperbole, idiom, metaphor, and simile.

The flaps within the flipbook give students the definition of each type of figurative language, as well as an example with room for them to record their own examples! It is easy to prep - just print, staple, and cut!

Added BONUS! Unsure of how to teach the seven types of figurative language? This resource includes a complete 8 slide Google Presentation that matches the flipbook for you to use as an instructional tool!

Teacher Review: My students loved working with this resource as much as I enjoyed how easy and effortless it was to make. It's engaging and a fun way to look back at previous notes. -Elisa

Teacher Review: This was a colorful, engaging way to teach my students the various forms of figurative language...I like that they were easy to put together instead of spending instructional time making the flip books. -Kelly
