What educators are saying

Great resource that is well put together. Easy to follow, but yet challenging for the students. Thanks!
I was able to use the sources that I needed to to create the stations for our Absolutism Station Day.

Description

This content-rich activity is student-centered and interactive. It can be done online with our Online Reading Investigation Google Ready format or as a 10-station close reading activity. Either way, the readings detail samurai culture, training, and Shogunate leadership in Japan. Some topics include The Tokugawa Shogunate, Samurai Codes, Samurai Training, Samurai Armor and Weaponry, and Samurai Primary Source excerpts.

The readings include pictures, charts, and maps. Questions and interactive mini-activities are underneath the reading and on a separate worksheet for teacher choice. This activity also has a fun fold-able chart activity as an alternative to worksheet-based questions. Teacher instructions are included with four different activity ideas for the same Common Core readings.
