Social Skills, emotions, feelings, behaviors... HOW do we teach it????

As a Special Education Teacher / Intervention Specialist for the last 19 years, I have come across many students who are unable to regulate their behavior. Something that I learned is that we as educators assume that students understand their emotions and that it’s the behaviors that need to be fixed. I recognized that we need to take it a step back and teach students what emotions they are feeling and help them understand the ‘Why’ before we teach them how to modify their behaviors. I created this bundle in order to give students the practice and visuals they need in order to make progress in the area of recognizing their behaviors.

WHO IS ‘FEELINGS AND EMOTIONS’ BUNDLE FOR?

This behavior resource is best for students in grade k-4. It is for any student who need assistance in identifying their emotions as well as learning how to react to those emotions. The workbook takes students through a series of activities that will educate students in the area of feelings and emotions. The visual posters and anchor charts are a constant reminder for students to identify their current feelings.
