Description
Now in both printable AND digital distance learning ready format, this set of 52 feelings, thoughts, and emotions task cards and google slides journal prompts was designed as a therapeutic intervention to help counselors, educators, and parents to engage children in expressing their unique voices and stories. The open-ended nature of the sentence completion prompts encourage children to identify and process whatever they may experiencing, feeling and thinking in their lives, be it changes within the family, grief, fears, trauma, anger, goals, and/or celebrations.
Ways To Use:
These feelings, thoughts and emotion task cards are a great school counseling tool to build rapport and form connections with students. Some ways to use these social/emotion, solution-focused conversation cards when working with children both individually or in lunch bunches and small group counseling are: 1)Place cards face down and take turns completing the sentence with the first thing that comes to mind. 2)Incorporate cards into to an existing game. For example, before each turn, pick a card and finish the sentence. 3) Look through the feelings, thoughts, and emotions cards and self-select which ones answer.
