February Reading Activity: 5 Partner Play Scripts with Comprehension Worksheets

These five partner plays are intended to be used as fluency-building activities that 2nd and 3rd-grade students can complete with a partner. The scripts focus on celebrations that occur during the month of February. Kids love reading these fun seasonal scripts, and they provide an engaging reading activity at the start of the year.

These scripts require minimal teacher support, thereby allowing teachers to work with other small groups. For teachers who implement reading centers, these plays are perfect. These scripts are also ideal for parents who are looking for fun at-home reading activities that parents and children can read together. If you have a child who is reluctant to read at home, I encourage you to give these scripts a try!

It also includes a BONUS comprehension worksheet. After reading each script, students answer two or three comprehension questions that accompany that particular script.
