Famous Mathematician Facebook Project

This is a great 21st Century/Technology Filled End of the Year (or long break) Project!

**I have used this with 6th to 9th graders! I am sure high schoolers would enjoy this project as well!**

Students are to create an imitation Facebook (Mathbook) of a Famous Mathematician. Included is a word document "Mathbook" template for students to use. If you have trouble with the document play around with the margins on the top of the word document.

Guidelines for the project:

-Name of famous mathematician at the top of the page
-A Profile Picture of your mathematician (you may choose to draw or use picture from internet)
-Information Corner (such as network, gender, birth and death year, hometown, etc).
-Family/Fried Corner (find pictures of family members or get creative with who they might be friends with of their era).
-The Wall (Find 6 significant facts about the mathematicians life)
-Contact Info (make up and email and current address)
-Personal Info (activities, interests, music, books, etc).
-Work and Education (what is their level of education and write a description of their occupation).
-Pictures (include pictures of your mathematician).
-Timeline (list 5 important dates/events/facts about your mathematician in chronological order).
-Likes (find 3 images of your mathematicians likes/interests).
-Advertisement (create an ad that would fit in the time period or your mathematician).
-Optional: Fun Facts, Quotes, etc.

Have fun and edit this project to fit your students needs!

Could be adapted to a famous scientist!
